The governor of Chubut,
Ignacio "Nacho" Torres
, picked up the gauntlet on the call made by President Javier Milei to meet on May 25 in Córdoba, after the week that had him as an antagonist of the liberal in a round trip full of tensions.
There he celebrated Milei's call for national unity, but he denied the call and demanded that he first go to Chubut: next week there will be a summit of Patagonian governors to which the President was invited.
"I celebrate and support President Milei's call to the Pact of May 25. We agree on the north of the proposed axes, with dialogue and respect for federalism. And in this context of call, it would be very important to have his presence at the meeting of the 7/3 in Puerto Madryn, together with the Patagonian governors, to design and agree on a productive development agenda," Torres published in X.

At the end of his speech in Congress, Milei called on governors and other political leaders to sign an agreement on May 25 in Córdoba.
"I want to challenge you to show me that politics is more than what it is, that we can aspire to be better," said the libertarian.
And he added: "With the desire to be wrong in my distrust of many of you, I want to take advantage of this occasion to extend an invitation to you: I want to summon both governors and former presidents, as well as opposition leaders and leaders of the main political parties to that we lay down our personal interests and meet on May 25 in Córdoba for a new social contract called the May Pact, a social contract that establishes the 10 principles of the new Argentine economic order."
