INTERVIEW - The 21-year-old former marine told his team his four truths during the council on the twelfth day of the adventure tour in the Philippines. An act of frankness which cost him his place in the game.

Rarely in the long history of

“Koh-Lanta”

has a council been as heated as that of the twelfth day of the edition of the immunity hunters.

After a fourth lost event in a row - two comforts and two immunities - the yellow Kadasi team once again joined Denis Brogniart to eliminate one of their own.

By speaking,

Alexis

emptied his bag to his seven teammates.

“Amri, he is the king and it is harmful.

Sarah speaks loudly and it annoys... This team is unhealthy and has a rotten mentality

,” said the 21-year-old with exasperation.

“I expose myself because there is a problem of questioning.

There's a decision maker and sheep, I'm fed up.

I'm not here to be in a clan or in a mafia.

With five votes against him, Alexis left the adventure with the hope of having caused a psychological shock among the Yellows.

- Were you dreading discovering this episode of “Koh-Lanta” on TF1?

Alexis.

-

I was especially looking forward to seeing it because it's a fairly atypical episode.

Before going to the council, my fate was not at all sealed.

I had spoken with Amri before and Sarah was in much more danger than me because she was annoying a lot of people.

But I expressed my disagreement and everything changed.

Did you premeditate this rant?

No, I just knew I had to share my point of view.

I didn't try to be mean or provoke my elimination.

I wanted to create a spark within the team.

If Denis Brogniart had not given me the floor, I would not have said anything.

When he told me he felt tense, I exploded.

After your speech, did you have hope that your words would have a positive impact on the votes?

In my head, I assumed that I hadn't said all this to be rude but for the good of the team.

I hoped I had put my finger on what was wrong with us and that my words would be understood.

I hoped that my message would be well received and that the resentment would take a back seat when it came time to vote.

“William wasn’t interested in us at all, he was only there for himself”

Why didn't this discussion take place outside of the council?

On the same day, we lost the immunity test and we had to go to the council that same evening.

It was the worst possible scenario.

I was very upset by this fourth defeat in a row, the atmosphere was rotten in the camp.

I had time to ruminate but not to talk to everyone.

Paradoxically, Sarah was the most threatened by elimination but you did not vote against her...

I did not want to follow the moment that the team leaders had decided, I did not like that we imposes my voting choices on me.

With them, it was more about affinities than merit, it was very strategic.

I wanted to show my dissatisfaction by not voting against Sarah.

It would certainly have been stronger to include the name of Sébastien or Amri rather than that of Léa.

In the case of Sarah's immunity necklace, an alternative was needed.

Do you regret having contributed to

the elimination of a neutral element like William

?

Not at all, there are things that we don't see from his adventure.

William wasn't interested in us at all, he was only there for himself.

We were in a phase of the game where we had to think about the team and, unfortunately, he doesn't have team spirit.

Seeing the images of his participation, it confirms my choice to have eliminated him.

“I was convinced that my words would stay in their heads and have a positive effect for the rest of their adventure”

Alexis, candidate for “Koh-Lanta, the immunity hunters”

What was your state of mind after your torch was extinguished, did you have any regrets?

I was completely confused.

I was realizing it was really over.

I felt like I had sacrificed myself for the team.

I was convinced that my words would stay in their heads and have a positive effect for the rest of their adventure.

But if I had been in the place of the other candidates, I would not have voted against myself because I dared to express myself and be spontaneous.

Eliminating me that night was the easy way out.

Why did you sign up for

this edition of “Koh-Lanta”

?

I had just left the army, I was doing odd jobs and it wasn't working out the way I wanted it to.

I wanted to start my own moving company but there were lots of problems.

I came across the casting announcement on Facebook, I was at the end of my rope and I threw myself into it as if it were an impossible challenge to take on.

You were a marine, what do you do now?

I was a delivery driver until very recently.

I would like to specialize and do training in drone piloting or video editing.

I am someone who likes to move.

I had joined the army to find a framework to channel myself.

I had the chance to do three missions in three years but I didn't see myself staying there any longer.
