Christian Polanc has danced his way up to one of the most famous “Let's Dance” professionals in recent years, but he is missing in the new season.
His days on the RTL show could be numbered.
Cologne – Since 2007, Christian Polanc (45) has been one of the dance professionals whose skills have been repeatedly trusted by RTL for “Let's Dance”.
The Ingolstadt native has already won the regular show twice (2007 and 2011) and the professional challenge just as often (2020 and 2022).
However, the 45-year-old is no longer part of the current season, which starts on Friday evening (February 23rd).
That's why Christian Polanc is no longer on “Let's Dance”.
However, his temporary exit from “Let’s Dance” came at his own request.
A decision that Christian Polanc thought about for a long time and which he explained to RTL in a telephone conversation in December.
Polanc said in an interview with Express
that he had “been thinking about withdrawing from the show stage for a long time”
.
“It's not that I don't like the show anymore or that someone is pissing me off.
“More than 50 percent of the decision is really due to my professional situation,” explains the professional dancer.
Christian Polanc also works on other projects and, according to his own statements, “now has more than 30 employees”.
He doesn't want to let them down: “I realized more and more that I was the brake on things and that many things could be much further ahead.
If other people and their income depend on it, (…) it’s not that easy.”

“Let’s Dance” return?
Christian Polanc still unsure
Christian Polanc's days on “Let's Dance” may be numbered anyway - at least in his previous role: “I would do that at any time in another role.
I find it really difficult to return as a professional.
But you won't hear a 'never' from me.
Life is too short for never.”
