The IHK for Munich and Upper Bavaria registered 391 new training contracts in the Fürstenfeldbruck district last year - an increase of 8.3 percent compared to 2022.
Fürstenfeldbruck - “This is good news for our business location – especially in times of increasing labor shortages,” explains Michael Steinbauer, chairman of the IHK Fürstenfeldbruck regional committee.
The companies are pulling out all the stops to secure the next generation of skilled workers and skilled workers.
The huge range of training places on offer shows that companies' willingness to provide training remains high.
Unfortunately, the demographically low number of students means that more and more companies are left empty-handed when looking for young talent.
IT Specialist
According to the IHK, highly sought-after young career profiles such as IT specialists also contribute to the success of the training: with over 50 new training contracts, it is now number one of the most popular IHK professions in the district - followed by salespeople and retail clerks.
For girls, saleswoman tops the list of the most popular training occupations, while for boys it is IT specialists.
In total there are more than 200 different IHK professions in which training can be completed.
100 unoccupied
According to the employment agency, around 100 apprenticeship positions remained unfilled at IHK member companies in the district in 2023.
That's around one in five offers registered with the employment agency.
Around 60 percent of all training contracts in Upper Bavaria are concluded in the IHK sector, i.e. in industry, trade and the service sector.
