Attention, kebab fans: Germany's kebab capital has been chosen.
In Bavaria, one city in particular stands out when it comes to popular fast food.
Munich - Whether in flatbread or as dürüm, with meat or vegetarian, with fries or a crisp salad as a side dish - many people enjoy kebab every day.
But where can you actually find the best kebab?

Munich disappoints in the kebab competition
Because the award for Germany's kebab capital doesn't go to Cologne or Berlin.
The Saxon state capital Dresden is at the top of the podium.
According to the comparison, the city shines with a high range of kebab shops and top ratings.
However, the result for Munich is disappointing.
The Bavarian state capital does not make it past third-to-last place in the rating.
The result is made up of a total of three categories.
Somewhat surprisingly, Munich ranks second to last in the store density category with 8.25 kebab shops per 100,000 residents.
The kebab isn't exactly cheap in comparison: you have to fork out an average of 5.67 euros in Munich, but in Bremen you pay one euro less.
And the kebab skewers could not prevail in the taste test in large cities such as Munich, Hamburg or Berlin.

The kebab tastes particularly good in Nuremberg
A positive surprise, however, is a city in Franconia.
Nuremberg shines in the comparison with second place and even relegated the city of Berlin, often referred to as the home of kebab, to third place.
Among other things, Nuremberg had the third cheapest kebab.
Despite the price increase due to rising raw material and energy prices in recent months, customers here only have to shell out an average of 5.09 euros.

The best-rated kebab shops are in cities with fewer populations.
Dresden offers the best-tasting kebab with a Google Maps rating of 4.31 out of 5 stars, while Nuremberg is close behind with 4.25 stars.
With 15.71 kebab shops per 100,000 inhabitants, the city of Nuremberg offers almost twice as many options as Munich.

The 30 most populous cities in Germany: the ultimate kebab comparison
In order to determine the city with the best kebab, the delivery service selected the 30 most populous cities in Germany.
Using Google Maps, the ten cities with the highest number of kebab shops were identified.
However, the condition for being included in the test was that Google had marked a kebab shop as such and that the words kebab or kebab were included either in the company description, in the label or in the restaurant name.
