The Bavarian state government wants to make cannabis legalization as difficult as possible.

However, the founders of the Moosburg Cannabis Club are unmoved by this declaration of war.

Moosburg

- According to Prime Minister Markus Söder, people who want to be happy with cannabis are better off outside Bavaria.

The Free State will apply the traffic light government's legalization law "extremely restrictively," the CSU boss recently threatened, and the goal of reducing bureaucracy explicitly does not apply to the planned cannabis clubs.

A lawyer should help

Pithy words that don't seem to deter a group of Moosburgers.

As announced, they met on Saturday under the leadership of Left City Councilor Alexander Strobl to prepare for the founding of a Cannabis Social Club (CSC).

In other words, the club-like organization that, according to the law, will be needed in the future if you can't or don't want to grow hemp yourself at home, but still want to consume it.

Around 30 people came to the information meeting in the TSV Moosburg sports restaurant - according to Strobl, a cross-section of society.

“There were pensioners and the young at heart there, fathers and mothers, and some were already very well prepared.” Some brought the cannabis law with them and intensively discussed the interpretation of the individual paragraphs.

“For individual points, we now need a lawyer to advise us and also represent our club in the future,” says Strobl after the event.

“It’s clear to us: If we stick to the letter of the law, otherwise we can stop right away.”

The technology is expensive

The tone of those present was consistently positive.

“Some also wanted to donate money to provide the basic equipment,” reports Alexander Strobl.

The costs incurred by the “CSC Moosburg Green Dreams” – the name chosen for the cannabis club – are not without their costs: “We have to rent a hall for cultivation, then we need all the plant equipment and a Complete documentation.” The most expensive thing in one fell swoop is probably the system with which the THC content and the minimum shelf life are determined; the technology costs between 800 and 5000 euros, depending on the model.

The aim is to grow organic cannabis “of the highest possible quality”.

Because there were participants at the meeting who thought the maximum monthly purchase amount of 50 grams was too much, a step-by-step model will probably be introduced, said Strobl.

Then fewer grams could be lost.

The composition of the cultivation team has already been determined, and there will also be teams for the cash register or documentation.

“Everyone is used according to their abilities,” says the 45-year-old.

“We haven't founded the club yet, the law will now go to the Federal Council and then possibly to the mediation committee.” Strobl suspects that the actual entry into force could be delayed by up to six months.

“We are taking small steps and waiting for the next information.”

A hall is still missing

A big to-do in the meantime is finding a suitable building property.

“It could be any old barn.

The only important thing is that no one has their home address at the address.” A large garden next to an apartment, for example, is not possible.

For Alexander Strobl, who was recently interviewed for the BR television magazine “quer”, the Bavarian Prime Minister’s harsh statements do not dampen motivation. Instead, the Moosburger’s message to Söder is: “If you really take prevention and education seriously, you have to According to this logic, support the grower associations.

People immediately contacted us and wanted to become prevention and youth protection officers because they recognized that the club is a place where people look out for each other.”
