The driver of a heavy BMW SUV fueled his way through the blocked main intersection in Schäftlarn like a tank, rammed two Mercedes to the side - and fled the scene.

- Due to heavy, slow-moving traffic, the main intersection in Hohenschäftlarn was blocked shortly after 6 p.m. on Monday.
A 42-year-old from the southern district of Munich wanted to drive her Mercedes on Starnberger Straße towards Starnberg, but had to wait in the middle of the intersection.
Behind her was a Mercedes, with a 25-year-old from Munich behind the wheel.

SUV driver refuels through vehicles standing sideways like a tank
A black BMW SUV came from the direction of Munich on Münchner Straße and wanted to continue towards Ebenhausen.
According to police, he wanted to cross the blocked intersection and weave his way through the two Mercedes.
But the gap was too small.
The heavy SUV filled up with fuel, rammed the two vehicles standing sideways, and slammed into a van - then the driver stepped on the accelerator and fled, the police report.
The person who caused the accident leaves extensive damage to the bodywork.

The 42-year-old's Mercedes was badly damaged at the rear, the Munich man's at the front, and the van also took some damage.
Altogether over 20,000 euros worth of damage.

Grünwald police are looking for witnesses
The black BMW SUV, probably an X5 or X7, must also be badly damaged.
In the excitement, no one noticed the license plate.
According to witnesses, the driver is said to be around 60 to 65 years old, with dark, gray hair, and wears glasses.
