, the social media platforms owned by Meta, suffered a global outage this Tuesday, affecting hundreds of thousands of users, according to the website Downdetector.com, which monitors service interruptions.
The outage began around 10:00 a.m. ET when more than 300,000 users reported service interruptions on Facebook and about 40,000 on Instagram, according to the website.
“We are aware that people are having problems accessing our services.
We are currently working on it,” said Meta spokesperson Andy Stone in a post on the X social network.
