The “Haus für Kinder” daycare center has to be temporarily closed due to significant water damage.

Leaking water, which spread unnoticed throughout the building over the past weekend, caused major property damage.

The corridor on the first floor is particularly affected, from where the water made its way through the ceiling to the ground floor.

Gilching - An initial assessment by an expert has shown that extensive renovation is necessary due to the wooden construction of the building and the resulting completely damp board ceiling.

As a result, regular operations at the children's home are unlikely to resume before the end of the year.

Unfortunately, due to the wetness, emergency operation is not possible in the building.

The daycare center, with its crèche and kindergarten, will therefore remain closed until Wednesday, March 6th.

The municipal administration is currently working intensively to find an alternative solution in order to be able to continue operations in other premises.
