The organizers speak of “systematic intimidation”.

Wolfratshausen - Inside there was green democracy advertising for sandwiches and drinks - outside there was dissatisfaction and initially honking: During the visit of the parliamentary group spokeswoman for the state parliament Greens in Waldram, 30 tractors drove up.

According to the police, almost 100 people demonstrated at Kolpingplatz - as reported, mostly farmers who are dissatisfied with agricultural policy and increasing bureaucracy.

Now the Wolfratshausen Greens are commenting on the protests.

The party leadership is angry and worried.

The large contingent of protesters still causes local politicians to grumble in their stomachs.

In a press release, the Green board quartet criticized the demonstrators.

It is an “aggression that causes fear”.

Greens report after farmers’ demonstration: “Aggression that causes fear”

Katharina Schulze, one of the most important faces of the Bavarian Greens, spoke to a good 100 visitors about democracy and what is currently endangering it.

There had previously been a meeting: five farmers' association chairmen had exchanged their views on things with Schulze.

A conversation that both sides rated positively.

Police after demo: Protest was calm - Greens thank the law enforcement officers

There was still protest.

Police chief Andreas Czerweny noted that the farmers in front of the door behaved calmly and according to the rules.

The Wolfratshausen Green Party leadership now sums up in a press release: “Thanks to the competence and targeted deployment of the Wolfratshausen police, the calmness of the bathhouse employees, as well as the courage of the spectators and, last but not least, the peaceful protesters, the situation did not escalate.” There was no damage – “neither to people nor to property.”

Greens speak out after farmers' protest - local association had to take precautions

Nevertheless, the top quartet around Jennifer Layton, Hans-Georg Anders, Peter Lobenstein and Andrea Beck criticized the action.

The Greens certainly understand dissatisfaction.

But: “We believe it is necessary to make our anger known,” write the Greens.

About “the fact that we, as a local branch of a democratic party, are forced to take such measures.”

The statement does not go into further detail about the measures in question - it only mentions "precautions" before the visit of the parliamentary group leader.

For the Greens, the demonstration goes well beyond “drawing attention to themselves.”

In the letter, the Greens recall “over 30 giant tractors and bullies” that “roll into the narrow streets of Waldram unannounced” and about 100 demonstrators who “set up in front of the small bathhouse with some defamatory protest signs.”

In the eyes of the local Greens association, “an aggression that causes fear”.

“Systematic intimidation” - Greens see themselves as victims

Local politicians face “systematic intimidation”.

Such things have “probably rarely occurred in the post-war history of democratic parties in the way that they are currently happening throughout Germany.”

At the end of their letter, the Greens emphasize that they would like to continue the dialogue with the farmers' association “on an equal footing”.
