Teresa Pepe was 72 years old and over forty in the La Cañada neighborhood of
Quilmes Oeste
.
She was murdered on Monday, around 4 p.m., from a stab wound and strangulation.
She did not answer the messages or calls, so a relative went to her house, on Intendente Oliveri at 3,600, and found her body in the kitchen tied with cables and covered with boxes and bags.
A trail of blood led from the dining room to the kitchen.
This morning, they arrested
Yonatan Molina
, 21 years old and who lives in the house next to Teresa's.
They didn't find him there, in reality, but hanging around the hallways of Villa Itatí, almost 30 blocks from his house.
Also in the morning,
it was circulated that it was his own father who handed him over, but the prosecutor in the case, Ximena Santoro, denies that version
and, instead, says that it was the 5th police station of La Cañada that found his whereabouts.
When they found him, his sneakers were bloody, a detail that gave him away.
“I have no doubts regarding the authorship of the incident,” says Santoro, prosecutor of the Functional Instruction Unit 7 of Quilmes.
“On Wednesday we will investigate, but everything leads to his responsibility.
When Molina's house was raided, we found
several belongings of the murdered woman
: a large LED television, a smaller monitor, a gas screen, a quartz stove, the wedding ring and things from the victim's refrigerator," he said. to

At the time of the tests, Teresa Pepe's body was missing her wedding ring.
In the midst of the disorder they found in the house, her relatives look for more missing items.
The prosecution is already working on the motive of a
robbery aggravated by the use of a knife followed by death,

homicide criminis causa
, while Molina waits in custody at the UFI 7 prison in Quilmes to be investigated.
In addition to the motive, prosecutor Santoro handles the hypothesis that
there was an accomplice who helped Molina

“We are working on the security camera expertise.
Someone had to have helped him: how did Molina carry a large television over a party wall as high as the one that separates his house from that of the woman he murdered without hurting himself or breaking the television?
And the rest of the things?” Santoro added.
Molina's adventures
The 5th police station of La Cañada, the neighborhood where Molina lives, knew about the activities of him and his board for two reasons.
First, the neighborhood had already marked him: he had become
a problematic neighbor
.
Pepe was one of the neighbors with whom he argued the most.
Second: in February he was detained by the police station for covering up another crime.
According to the prosecution, police officers in the area already knew that Molina was escalating into violence.
Robberies and drug consumption.
Molina's aunt, a resident of the area, testified before the media on Tuesday morning.
“We do not agree with what he did and
we want him to pay for it

“We believe that he was not alone, but accompanied by another person.”
It was Molina's aunt who expressed to the media that it was his father who handed him over

Also about the path that the young man was taking in recent weeks: “he was committing crimes with a motorcycle that was recently stolen from him.
And he has had problems with drugs for quite some time, but now it was already a problematic use: he went into a villa with people we don't know, and

Hours before, during the night of Monday, a

cell phone reported that they wanted to attack its members and the news station commented on the air that they had to leave the place to be able to report the incident.
Also that some of the neighbors protested vehemently against his presence.
Meanwhile, Molina posted stories with religious references from his Facebook account and offered to answer questions.
In one of them, dating from three in the afternoon on Monday, a landscape of La Cañada can be seen from a roof.
According to the prosecution's hypothesis, Molina would have sneaked onto her neighbor's property from the heights, leaving behind a high party wall.
What is La Cañada, the neighborhood of the fact, like?
This neighborhood of Quilmes Oeste is the transition from the center of this municipality to the most manufacturing area.
A few blocks further west, the area becomes San Francisco Solano, one of the most deprived areas of the Quilmes district.
Another few blocks further north, crossing Lamadrid Avenue, is Bernal Oeste, one of the areas where the most crimes are reported in the municipality.
There are countless thefts reported in the area, both reported by neighbors and by clippings of security camera footage.
Like other crime hot zones, the presence of avenues with a large flow of cars is key for thieves: Calchaquí Avenue, Mosconi Avenue, General Belgrano Road and Southeast Access;
Pasco Avenue to the west.
Furthermore, populated emerging neighborhoods are sometimes conducive to hiding: La Matera neighborhood, Springfield neighborhood, the IAPI, areas of Monte Chingolo.
In La Cañada, however, several landscapes coexist: metal factories and warehouses, convent courtyards, soccer and tennis clubs, pituca and designed houses, and others that display hasty plastering and paintings.
Tile roofs and tin roofs alternate.
Few bus lines (148, 159, 584, 582) pass through the area, with spaced frequencies, and the lighting at night is dim, yellowish from the sodium lamps.
Sometimes it is an odyssey for neighbors to go out and wait for the bus or go shopping late at night.
