The Lower House on Tuesday approved a bill to teach safety in the workplace amid a spate of fatal workplace accidents in Italy that saw another two deaths Tuesday.
In the Chamber of Deputies, the bill to introduce the teaching of labor law and safety in the workplace in secondary schools was approved with 121 yes votes and 68 abstentions.
The measure, which combines two bills, one by the leftistpopulist 5-Star Movement (M5S) and one by Premier GiorgiaMeloni's rightwing Brothers of Italy (FdI), now passes to theSenate.
Students would also learn from testimony by and about victims, according to the bill.
