The scene occurred on the night of Thursday February 29 to Friday March 1 in Kensington, a district of London.
In a video released by London police, officers rush inside a building in the English capital, where a fire has started, to rescue residents.
The striking images were captured using an officer's chest camera.
The police broke down the front door of the building to enter the stairwell, while thick smoke was already exhaling from the ground floor window.
Once inside, the officers broke down the basement door again, where the fire appeared to come from.
Another police officer rushes upstairs to protect the residents.
“The fire broke out on Friday March 1, around 12:15 a.m.
,” the Metropolitan Police said in a press release.
Arriving on scene, the police were quickly supported by firefighters and paramedics.
Two days later, Sunday March 3, a 25-year-old man was arrested.

“Seven police officers and six residents were taken to hospital for treatment after inhaling smoke and have since been released,”
