After the successful premiere as part of the synod celebration, the Neuching community is inviting you to dance again this year.

Neuching – Some events from the synod year are to be included in the annual calendar of the Neuching community.

The medieval market is already scheduled for September 6th to 8th, 2024, and the members of the local council discussed extensively about the continuation of the citizens' ball.

Despite overwhelming feedback and a lot of fun for everyone, the municipality would have made a loss, reported Mayor Thomas Bartl (CSU): "It's now a question of whether we organize it again as a municipality or look for an association that wants to take it over." With some structural issues Changes such as taking over the bar would at least cover costs, said Bartl.

Robert Riexinger (CSU) would like to give the ball to a club; if there are more interested parties, there could also be an annual change.

In contrast, Otto Hainz (SPD) said: “I hardly believe that any of our clubs will take it over.

If they also have to pay hall fees, a black zero is hardly possible." Bartl had boys, dirndl clubs, cultural associations or SpVgg in mind, but said: "They certainly won't do it." It wouldn't be bad if the community did it the wealth of experience gained: “We should adjust a few things and then hopefully come out with more positive numbers.”

According to Markus Hermansdorfer (WGN), there is another problem.

A mudflat tournament run by the Niederneuching fire department is already taking place on the planned date of November 23rd: “They backed off last year because of the synod.” Bartl asked whether a morning pint tournament would be possible.

In the end, with two votes against, the decision was made that the community would organize the citizens' ball itself again.

The final date will only be set after consultation with the fire department.
