A serious accident occurred in Upper Bavaria.
A driver overlooked another car while turning and a collision occurred.
Bayerisch Gmain - A car accident occurred late on Monday morning (March 4th) in Bayerisch Gmain on Berchtesgadener Straße (B20).
Two vehicles collided at around 11:30 a.m. and, according to initial assessments by the Red Cross, the two drivers fortunately only suffered minor injuries.
A 79-year-old local resident had apparently tried to turn from Lattenbergstrasse into Berchtesgadener Strasse in her small Mercedes car.
She overlooked a 76-year-old from the inner district who was driving her small Peugeot car from Reichenhall towards Berchtesgaden and crashed head-on into the driver's side of the Mercedes.

“Other drivers, including a paramedic, provided first aid to the drivers who were not trapped and made an emergency call to the Traunstein control center,” says the press release from the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK).
The Bayerisch Gmain Volunteer Fire Department and the Reichenhall Red Cross were then sent to the scene of the accident with an ambulance and an emergency doctor.
The Teisendorf ambulance was requested on site for the second injured driver.
After initial treatment by the emergency doctor, both women were taken to the Bad Reichenhall district clinic for further examination.

Vehicles no longer roadworthy after an accident
“16 firefighters provided first aid, ensured fire protection, cleaned the roadway and directed the remaining traffic past the accident site so that there were no major backlogs,” the BRK continued.
Officials from the Reichenhall police recorded the exact course of the accident and estimated the damage to the two cars, which were no longer drivable, at around 12,000 euros.
Both vehicles had to be towed.
