A 42-year-old woman from the Erding district was caught up in a major operation by the Munich police on Saturday.
She is now being investigated for a weapons law violation.
Munich/Erding - The police headquarters in Munich announced that the operations center was informed of a threat situation in an underpass to the Hofgarten in the city center shortly before 8 p.m.
The police deployed a total of up to 20 patrol cars and found around 20 people, mostly young people, in the underpass.
At first glance, the police were able to find brass knuckles and a telescopic baton on the ground.
When checking the people, the Erdinger woman also came into the police's sights; she was carrying pepper spray, which can only be used against animals and is subject to weapons law.
A complaint was filed against them.
But she was released that same evening.
The presidium did not say how she related to the young people.
However, the police were unable to identify any major threat.
Commissariat 24, which is responsible, among other things, for weapons law, is now investigating.
