The district honored athletes from the district.
In total, District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß awarded medals to 340 athletes from 27 clubs
District - During his speech in the old warehouse in Ebersberg, District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß thanked, among others, the Bavarian State Sports Association and in particular the district chairwoman Ingrid Golanski for "the very good cooperation and great support, including at the athletes' honor."

“Sport is an important part of social life in our district,” said Niedergesäß.
He thanked all those responsible and committed in the clubs and also the parents for creating the organizational framework for sport and thus the successes achieved, as well as the communities that provide sports fields and gymnasiums, as well as the district itself with a good 25 gymnasium units.

“We are proud of our successful athletes who achieve great success at all levels, including the World Cup, and who represent our district in such a positive and friendly manner,” said Niedergesäß.
Ingrid Golanski thanked the district administrator for ensuring that gymnasiums would not again be used as refugee accommodation and deprived of sport.
This year there were 76 individual awards, four awards for competitive pairs and numerous medals for entire teams.
In addition to numerous German and Bavarian champions, Kurt Rüger, a reigning U17 soccer world champion (FC Bayern Munich / TSV Pliening Landsham), and Vivien Klee and Paul Holleis, the mixed Ü-40 crossminton world champions (TSV Poing), were honored.
The Bavarian State Sports Association also awarded the sports badge twice during the event.
