A study shows which cities in Europe have the best pizzas.
Germany is represented in the top 15 just as often as Italy.
Nuremberg - Naples is known for good pizza, one popular restaurant follows the next.
You can also enjoy yourself in Pisa, Milan or Florence.
But the best pizza is not in the cities mentioned, but somewhere else.
The cities with the best pizzas in Europe: Nuremberg takes second place in the ranking
At least if Holidu has its way.
In a study, the portal examined the number of restaurants with more than 4.5 stars on Google to find out which cities have the highest number of top-rated pizza restaurants in relation to residents - and the results are surprising.
Two Italian cities make it into the top five, led by Turin in first place and Rome in third place.
But certainly surprising for many: Nuremberg made it to second place.
With Dortmund there is even a second German city in the top 5.

Naples still makes it to 8th place. With a score of 9.79, the Italian pizza metropolis is well behind Nuremberg (11.66).

Nuremberg is a city with medieval architecture and modernity, where “traditional cuisine meets international taste,” says Holidu.
“We can say that it is also a city with great pizza - thanks to the diverse and creative pizzerias.” There are over 60 pizzerias in Nuremberg, which achieve a score of over 4.5 on Google.
With Essen in 6th place and Düsseldorf in 15th place, two other German cities made it into the pizza ranking.
This means that four of the top 15 cities for pizza in Europe are from Germany - one more than from Italy.

An Italian portal annually names the best pizzerias in the world.
