After her great success in the theater, actress Stefanie Reinsperger also arrived on TV.

But as the popularity increased, so did the hatred online.

Berlin – Stefanie Reinsperger (36) has been working as an investigator in the Dortmund “crime scene” since 2021.

There she embodies police chief inspector Rosa Herzog, who goes about her work with heart and empathy.

But her TV presence also had a dark side, as the TV magazine “Brisant” reports.

She received a lot of hostility online – especially because of her figure.

Body shaming on the internet: “Tatort” star Stefanie Reinsperger was insulted because of her figure

In the theater world, Stefanie Reinsperger had long since conquered the hearts of audiences: after her training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar, things went uphill for the Austrian-born artist.

In 2017 she even took on the role of Buhlschaft at the Salzburg Festival.

In the same year she became a member of the famous Berliner Ensemble.

She has now also made a name for herself in the TV world.

However, she was badly insulted for her role as Inspector Rosa Herzog in Dortmund's “Tatort”.

But not because of her acting performance, but because of her figure.

She was always praised for her presence on stage and received numerous theater awards.

However, she became the target of hostility online.

“When this started, it almost destroyed me.

That made me very sad.

I was very, very unhappy.

And then I got angry,” explains Stefanie Reinsperger in the “Brisant” interview.

“I don’t consider myself ugly either.

I like myself.

Even though that might be difficult or surprising for people.”

She has now learned to defend herself against insults online.

“I really like myself.

It was a long way to get there.

But I’m proud of it,” the actress continues.

She has processed her experiences with hate online in a book called “Pretty Angry”.

Stefanie Reinsperger also takes on strong character roles on TV who stand up for good causes.

For example in the ARD series “The City Forester”.

In the role of forester Jana Doussière, she fights against environmental offenders in Berlin's Grunewald to protect nature and the climate.
