The mayor is horrified, the police are investigating: unknown people have cut down a tree in Bavaria, but it's not just anyone.

It was the tree on the “Franz-Eberhofer-Kreisel”.

Frontenhausen – It is “probably the best-known roundabout in Germany”.

The East Bavaria Tourism Association calls the “Franz-Eberhofer roundabout” in Frontenhausen this.

The roundabout became known from Rita Falk's famous successful crime series.

Whether “Dampfnudel Blues”, “Kaiserschmarrn-Drama” or “Leberkäs Junkie” – the films always thrilled not only audiences in Bavaria, but also those beyond the borders of the Free State.

Now the shock: Unknown people felled the tree that was on the roundabout on the night of March 1st to 2nd - with a chainsaw.
