Two minor teenagers were arrested this March 6 in the morning, after violent clashes near the Gustave Eiffel high school in Cachan (Val-de-Marne) the day before,
Le Figaro
learned from corroborating sources.
These individuals are educated in the establishment, in second grade, indicates a police source.
A bottle of acetone and six firecrackers were found in the backpack of one, and a bottle of deodorant in that of the other, indicates the Créteil prosecutor's office.
The multipurpose establishment, located on Boulevard Wilson, was yesterday the victim of scenes of great violence.
An atmosphere of chaos reigned there for several hours, after 200 individuals, some of them wearing hoods, gathered early on the outskirts of the high school to set trash cans on fire and throw molotov cocktails.
Open investigation
Exchanges of projectiles, tear gas, police car overturned in the middle of the road... Several videos circulating on social networks, where we can see the facade blackened by the flames of the establishment, also attested to clashes between the law enforcement and these individuals.
Two officers were injured during these scuffles.
Subsequently, a first 17-year-old teenager was arrested.
The investigation opened by the prosecution for aggravated damage, participation with a weapon in a gathering after summons and violence against a person holding public authority, will have to determine the reason for this violent blockade.
According to the investigators' initial hypotheses, it could be linked to growing discontent among students about the advanced state of unsanitary conditions at the high school.
