Commissioner
Gabriel Berard
, head of the City Police, was
dismissed
this Wednesday in the case in which he was investigated for the cover-up of the crime of the teenager
Lucas González
, in November 2021. The same ruling for 13 other defendants who were investigated for the same crime.
In the case, the Justice had already sentenced 9 officers.
The ruling issued by Judge
Vanesa Peluffo
is something that could be seen coming since last week both the prosecutor Leonel Gómez Barbella and the plaintiff had requested the dismissal of all the remaining defendants.
Thus, Peluffo decided to make “express mention that the accusation made does not affect the good name and honor that they may have enjoyed.”
Beyond Berard, the list of those dismissed, all from the City Police, were: Ernesto Martínez, Micaela Fariña, Bárbara Ojeda, Lorena Miño, Santos Ochoa, Mayra Gorosito Ledesma, Melina Miño, Damián Lobos, Pablo Granara, Verónica Andraca , Silvia Ozón, Daniel Guffanti and Fabián Lencina.
“After the arguments presented and a thorough analysis of the records, I conclude that the tax rulings minimally meet the requirements that the current procedural system requires for their validity,” the judge confirmed.
And he added: "Its conclusions are supported by the evidence of the case and the applicable law, as it arises from the expansion of that assessment."
The general dismissal was dictated because “it is appropriate, having passed the control that must be carried out, given the absence of impulse on the part of both accusers.”

Lucas González was murdered on November 17, 2021, when he and three friends were leaving training in Barracas Central.
In July of last year, the trial for the crime was held and
three police officers were sentenced to life imprisonment
.
Similarly, six others received between 4 and 8 years in prison and five were acquitted.
At that time, the Court that handed down the sentence for the crime of Lucas González requested that the testimonies of the chief and deputy chief of the City Police be extracted following the complaint of two of the accused who indicated that they had received pressure during the trial.
