Networking and promoting: This is what the “Frauen FAIR bandelt” association is committed to.

He is organizing a congress in Erding on March 8th for International Women's Day.

Erding - On International Women's Day, March 8th, women entrepreneurs from the region or those who want to become entrepreneurs can network in the town hall.

The “Frauen fair bandelt” association is offering a congress there – with a lot of program and as a platform for discussions.

Women are often told that it is not worth becoming self-employed.

Until they believe it themselves.

It's high time to change the narrative, says Esther Bauer, who, as a photographer and make-up artist in Erding, primarily puts "female images" in front of her camera.

At her side in the town hall on Friday is club founder Maria Berndlmaier, a former banker who has been going her own way for four years and also wants to show other women how to set up “a good business that also makes money”.

Your target group: “Women like us.

“We are Bavarian and come from the region,” says the 60-year-old, who comes from Chiemgau.

There is, for example, the grief counselor for orphaned parents or the tax advisor, as well as the virtual assistant, the interpreter and the social media consultant.

Many women have great ideas: “But they still hide their light under a bushel and doubt their abilities.”

This is exactly where the “Frauen fair bandelt” association comes in, which now has over 120 members between the ages of 27 and 65.

Berndlmaier and Bauer want to show their peers possibilities and revise clichés.

For example, women can only balance work and family part-time.

“The world of work is changing rapidly,” says Bauer (52).

As a self-employed person, you are also flexible and not tied to office hours.

“An employee does not automatically mean security,” says the mother of two children.

The prerequisite for starting solo self-employment is, in addition to a lot of initiative and creativity, good advice.

This is what the network offers.

There are experts here who can advise on advertising or designing your own homepage.

“You don’t have to buy an expensive complete package for founders, which often costs over 10,000 euros.

Women can get individual advice from us;

Expand your business step by step at your own pace.” There is also a regular open breakfast where women can exchange ideas.

At the women's congress on Friday in the town hall there will be a fashion show, workshops, lectures and etiquette for dealing with customers.

Women also present their business ideas on stage.

A brave first step.

But Bauer knows: “Ultimately, we need each other to grow.”

Further information: The women's congress will take place on Friday, March 8th, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the town hall.

Further information and tickets from 99 euros are available online at www.frauenfairbandelt.net.
