Defense Minister Yoav Galant arrived today (Wednesday) to visit the "Bnei David" pre-military training center in the Ali settlement.
The Minister of Defense met with the rabbi of the Eli Sadan seminary and Yigal Levinstein, and with the head of the Benjamin Regional Council, Israel Gantz.
He told the seminary students that they are "proof that you can hold a weapon in one hand and a textbook in the other."
The Minister of Defense heard about the seminary graduates who fell in the "Iron Swords" war, and talked with the rabbis about the importance of enlisting in the IDF, and the ability to combine Torah study with meaningful service in the IDF.
Defense Minister Galant said to the seminary students: "I meet the seminary students again and again in Gaza and Khan Yunis, in the north and in Judea and Samaria and also in other places in the most secret operations of the State of Israel. I think there is a special spirit here, but this spirit also entails paying a price Heavy, which on the one hand - inspires pride, and on the other hand - has a dimension of pain and suffering that is unusual, for the families as well as for the students and certainly for the rabbis, this is no small thing."
