From spring onwards, hiking will be popular again for outdoor fans.
How about a route that will be nominated as “Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail” in 2024?
Crystal clear lakes, colorful flower meadows or impressive mountains – hiking in nature is a wonderful way to switch off from everyday life and simply enjoy yourself.
Since the choice of hiking routes is almost endless, the decision is often difficult.
How good that the
hiking magazine
searches for “Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail” every year.
Maybe there is a route among the nominees that you would like to tackle soon?
“Germany’s Most Beautiful Hiking Trail 2024”: Selection between 24 nominees
The Allgäu Box Seat Route has been nominated as “Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail”.
It leads past the Auerberg and Forggensee.

24 hiking trails - 15 of which are day tours and nine multi-day tours - are available to choose from in 2024.
Since January 12, 2024, hiking fans have been able to vote for their favorite hiking trail.
The selection includes hiking trails from all over Germany: from the Emsland in Lower Saxony to the Rhön in Thuringia to the Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg.
However, with six candidates, most of the nominees come from Bavaria.
15 day tours that have been nominated as “Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail 2024”.
Among the day tours, hiking enthusiasts can choose between routes that lead through moors, forests, past waterfalls or across the Wadden Sea.

Nine multi-day tours have been nominated as “Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail”.
Outdoor fans are also spoiled for choice when it comes to multi-day tours.
The Altmühltal Panorama Trail, for example, is also considered a certified “Walking Germany Quality Trail”.
It leads through jagged rock towers from the Jurassic period and through impressive towns such as Eichstätt, Pappenheim and Kelheim, which have beautiful castles and palaces.
