The Miesbach Community Advertising Trade Association (GWM) has reorganized itself.

Chairman Florian Brunner no longer appeared at the general meeting in the market café.

An announced step.

Miesbach - A step that he had already communicated to the members some time ago - combined with the call for new forces to take responsibility.

This message has arrived.

At the meeting on Monday evening, a new leadership team was easily put together.

At the helm is now Peter Bayerschmidt, owner of the perfumery chain of the same name, who, together with his colleagues, wants to bring a breath of fresh air to the GWM.

“This is an important facility for Miesbach,” he said when asked by our newspaper.

A good, larger team was created that could distribute the tasks across several shoulders.

“A new awareness has emerged.

And everyone brings ideas with them.” The city is also close to his heart.

“Miesbach has great potential and a good selection.” The aim is to keep the city lively.

Businessmen at the top

What predecessor Brunner is particularly pleased about is that the new board is made up of business owners across the board.

That has no longer been the case in recent years, at least at the top.

Brunner works as a regional manager at the municipal company Regionalentwicklung Oberland (REO), and his predecessor Luitpold Grabmeyer (2014 to 2017) was employed at the Kreissparkasse.

“It’s good that business people are now at the forefront,” says Brunner.

“They can present their concerns first hand.” A big step has already been taken for the GWM: the city is organizing the two major events Culinary Evening and 1000 Shine of Lights.

“Otherwise it would have been too much for the GWM members.”

Constant topic: parking spaces

First, the committee should meet and begin its work, says Bayerschmidt.

However, two topics are already foreseeable: the 40th anniversary, which the GWM is celebrating this year, and the parking situation at the market square.

It still doesn't work out in such a way that customers are satisfied.

Big team

The new GWM board consists of chairman Peter Bayerschmidt (perfumery), the deputies Christine Schreiner (laundry Grabmaier) and Franz Kellner (mode Obermaier), secretary Stefan Baumgartner (Thoba furniture store) and the assessors Michael Brunner (vinothek), Andrea Jevitzky (number sure), Marianne Koch (Soapkistl), Gabi Köhler (Waizmann clothing store), Victoria Moser (Feinkost Moser), Martina Paukner (Kalla Fashion) and Stephanie Paul (Picolino children's fashion).
