Passion.
If I had to define with a single word what
Luis Miguel
generates ,
what awakens and agitates his fans is that, passion
.
And the place where he generates it does not matter: it can be a closed stadium like the Movistar Arena, or open like the Polo Field.
Or it could be a very elegant gala dinner at La Rural, like the one that happened this Tuesday, March 5, with 2,200 people dolled up for the big party, paying a minimum of 1,200,000 pesos per head.
Passion does not understand reasons, you know.
That's why when you arrive at La Rural, it's not surprising to see hundreds of fans outside - the kind you know don't have tickets and aren't going to get in -, with hope painted on their faces, singing Luis Miguel's songs at the top of their lungs
, photos to flood the networks and trying to retain who is that famous person
who passed by quickly and in a sequin dress to see her idol.
A well-watered reception upon arrival, starter, main course and dessert (three-course menu by Faena catering, with octopus carpaccio, Patagonian meats with port and malbec sauce and seasonal vegetables) plus free tap of drinks with and without alcohol.
A true party, which could be a fifteenth or a wedding, given the finery of the attendees, but which
dispenses with the Rio carnival and cumbia and which focuses on a singer in his best moment
, with a powerful and large band and a waterfall of hits that stand the test of time very well.
At 10:13 p.m. Luis Miguel enters the scene.
Maybe you don't love me
,
Love, love, love
,
Suave
.
He starts off at the top
and won't leave there during the little more than an hour and a half of the concert.
The bracelets they gave us at the entrance change color with the scene lights.
Some famous faces (Guillermo Coppola, Georgina Barbarossa,
Ángela Torres
and Rusherking arriving together and being the talk of the night) and many anonymous people who paid what they paid and who want to enjoy a night that for them has to be unforgettable.

One hit after another
Guilty or not
,
I need you
,
Until you forget me
,
Give me
.
Luis Miguel sings and makes everyone sing.
A drone flies over the environment.
At first, we fear him, he flies low.
After a while, he is one of us and even
the singer makes time to grab him, film himself singing - we all see it on the giant screens - and film the audience
.
Then he lets it fly on.
The
bolero
medley plays (
Under the table
,
I don't know about you
,
How I loved you
,
Only once
, We are boyfriends,
Everything and nothing
,
Us
) and
the couples kiss and sing while looking into each other's eyes
.
It's love and fun.
There is no ironic consumption.
There is a singer giving everything (and how much he has) and people receiving it.
Luis Miguel gives himself some luxuries.
He sings
Smile
Screen Through with
Michael Jackson
and
Fly with Me
with
Frank Sinatra
.
The band - two keyboards, bass, guitar, drums, three backup singers and a five-member wind section - sounds perfect, without playback.
It may be Las Vegas, but it's Plaza Italia.
The Sun King brings in a dozen mariachis, there is a tribute to Mexico and
La Bikina
plays .
After a while, everyone shouts again, "Then I'll turn around!"
But
no one turns around, everyone is facing the stage.
Luis Miguel barely allows himself minimal gestures for the audience.
There's no need.

Zero demagoguery
Luis Miguel did not say good night to us when he arrived nor will he say it to us when he leaves, after a medley that goes from
The unconditional
to
Now you can leave
,
The girl in the blue bikini
,
Isabel
and
When the sun heats up
.
The ultimate gesture towards the audience is to grab a bouquet of white flowers and touch your heart in the face of so much affection.
It's the least demagogic there is.
But he sings from start to finish, he is connected with the audience and with his group, which responds to the singer's slightest gesture.
Some girls (and not so girls) are already pogo dancing.
Others make a round around their husbands.
Others, many, are on the chairs and no one would dare to get them down.
Many also took off their shoes and dance barefoot.
It gives the impression that Luis Miguel (who will sing at the Campo de Polo on March 6, 8 and 9 and in Córdoba on the 14th) would also give everything if we were at a village dance, with a dirt floor.
That what matters to him are the songs and that he is far from the divo who complained all the time about the sound.
Enjoy your own show.
He is genuine.
And spoiler alert: it's not a double.
