The launch of the first Microsoft computers designed to fully exploit artificial intelligence is approaching.

According to a report from the Windows Central website, the American giant will present the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 on March 21st. Apparently, Microsoft will define these products as "AI PCs", also due to the presence of a button dedicated to Copilot, the digital assistant that now pervades the group's main software, from Word to Teams.

The laptops will feature new Intel Core Ultra or Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite-based processors that feature the latest neural processing units to boost artificial intelligence capabilities.

In terms of efficiency and performance, we shouldn't be far behind Apple's MacBook Pro.

Along with the aforementioned Copilot button, the next Surfaces should include exclusive features of subtitles and real-time translations, optimizations for video games and graphics processing programs and an option known as AI Explorer.

Windows Central suggests that the latter is what will truly set AI PCs apart from the rest.

On any app, you will be able to search documents, web pages, images and chats using natural language.

AI Explorer will create a history of everything a user does on the computer, to make it searchable.

According to the report, these AI features are likely to be rolled out as part of this fall's 24H2 update for Windows 11 although not all of them will roll out to devices already on the market today.

Dozens of AI PCs were announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, including those branded Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG and Samsung.
