Around 9 p.m. on Monday, the suspect himself called the fire brigade to report that his partner had been the victim of a domestic accident.

The emergency services, accompanied by a crew from the municipal police, noted on their arrival in the apartment that the young woman was
“unconscious”

“bloody”
.
The man, who was intoxicated, also had
“traces of blood”
on his body and clothes, the Grasse prosecutor's office reported in a press release on Tuesday.
