The events took place on Tuesday March 5 around 6:30 p.m., in the 18th arrondissement. Five individuals were taken into custody.


A violent inter-community fight broke out at Porte de Clignancourt (Paris 18th), Tuesday March 5 in the early evening,

learned from reliable sources.

Around ten individuals, members of the Egyptian and Algerian communities, clashed with knives and sticks in the street around 6:30 p.m. for a reason still undetermined at this stage, according to a police source.

The protagonists would be street vendors.

Two individuals were stabbed during the fight.

One of them was stabbed in the “Porte de Clignancourt” station, on line 4 of the metro, while he tried to escape among travelers.

Respectively injured in the chest and head, the victims were taken to hospital without a life-threatening condition.

One of them is nevertheless an absolute emergency.

BRAV-M personnel, a mobile brigade made up of pairs on motorcycles, arrested three suspects aged 17, 36 and 46 years old.

These are two Egyptians and an Algerian in an irregular situation on French territory.

A knife was found on one of them.

The three arrested and the two victims, who could also have been beaten, were placed in police custody at the 18th arrondissement police station.
