It was in Spain, near the border with France, that the attack took place at the beginning of the week.
Near the village of Canejan, a Spanish town located in the heart of the Pyrenees, a bear attacked a wild boar in front of two motorists who filmed and posted the scene on social networks.
The video quickly went viral on both sides of the border.
In the footage, the bear attacks the wild boar for more than a minute, attempting to bite it and drag it off the road onto an embankment.
The prey tries to defend itself but is no match for the predator, which is larger than it.
An investigation was opened to try to identify the bear, using biological samples taken on site by the Spanish authorities, reports
