It is a marathon in which several dozen fans of speedrunning performance have embarked.
From Thursday, February 29 at 6 p.m., until Sunday, March 3 at 11:59 p.m. sharp, more than fifty players took turns without interruption on the stage of the Lyon Congress Center.
On a PC, a Super Nintendo or a Master System, regardless of the console, the players' objective remained the same: to finish a video game as quickly as possible.
Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda, Star Wras Jedi: Survivor... In all, more than fifty video games were selected for this fourth edition.
Broadcast live on the Twitch platform, the host and organizer of the event Xavier Dang played a decisive role in achieving the objective set from the first day: surpassing last year's record.
To host these 78 hours of live, he was supported by around ten hosts including ZeratoR, HugoDélire and DamDamLive.
Spectators present in the room and those present live were invited to go to the event site to make an online donation to Médecins du Monde.
On Sunday, the last day of the marathon, the donations embarked on a grandiose final sprint.
At 6 p.m., the contribution had just reached the 2023 figure (1.2 million).
Around 8 p.m., the kitty already showed more than 1.5 million euros in donations.
Speedons ends up exceeding the 2 million euro donation mark with 2,066,663 euros in total.
MisterMV has already met the community for Speedons 2025, surely hoping for a new record.
