At a class opening ceremony at the school where President
Javier Milei
studied , Teresa, his fourth grade teacher, fondly remembered the current president, although she also noted that as a retiree "she is not very well" and that she hopes that her ex student
"don't press so hard"
.
It was during an event at the
Cardenal Copello School
, in Villa Devoto, where Milei was invited to do the inauguration as a former student, and where some of his former classmates and teachers met.
Teresa, also known as "Techi", spoke before the cameras and said of the president that he was "a quiet, humble boy", who "did well" in his subjects but who was also brave.
"
He was brave, he liked to play a lot, he fought
. He fought with the boys, he was sick and he still went out to play. They told him that he couldn't go to play and he went to play," he adds.
And he tells another anecdote: "He said when he was a boy that he was going to become president," he recalled.
She was then asked about the measures her government is carrying out and stated that she hopes "they are good for everyone."
"
I am retired and I am not very well. I am hoping that retirement will improve us and not put so much pressure on us
," she said.
