Even though Christian Polanc can no longer be seen as a professional dancer on “Let's Dance”, he is still giving his feedback on the current season as a dance expert.
A tradition in the show always annoyed him.
Cologne – Christian Polanc (45) has been a permanent member of the “Let’s Dance” family since 2007.
However, the professional dancer is no longer dancing in the current season.
At the end of January, he announced on Instagram that he was leaving the show because he had to take care of many other important tasks in his dance school and dance fitness program.
In his weekly podcast “Let's Talk About Dance”, the dance expert regularly gives his opinion on the RTL dance show - but recently it has been rather critical.
Christian Polanc was annoyed by this “Let’s Dance” tradition
A tradition at “Let's Dance” rather annoyed Polanc during his time on the show.
“It started at some point [...] with these team names and since then you've always had to squeeze some team name out of your head,” he remembers.
It was “always such a pain in the beginning” for him.
Especially because there are often names that don't make a good combination together.
“Of course it sounds great to some people,” says Polanc.
For example, his colleague Massimo Sinató (43) often ends up with a catchy team name.
If he had his way, the tradition could simply be abolished in the future.
New “Let’s Dance” season: Christian Polanc already has a favorite
But the professional dancer also had something positive to say.
Polanc is a fan of the dancing skills of Gabriel Kelly (22), who had already received the direct ticket in the “big get-to-know-you show” and the best score from the jury in the following show.
“I think he has a very delicate way of moving and he seems to be learning really quickly, as I noticed.” If the son of Angelo Kelly (42) manages to “explode”, then he is his “first little secret favorite”.
Next Friday evening (March 8th at 8:15 p.m. live on RTL) “Let's Dance” continues with the next show under the motto “90s”.

However, behind the broad smile he hides the concern that an illness will endanger Stefano Zarrella's participation in the show.
