Hohenpeißenberg - Yesterday, Tuesday, March 5th, the Weilheim traffic police carried out a speed measurement on the B472 near Hohenpeißenberg in the direction of Peißenberg between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., as stated in a press release.
Numerous drivers were traveling too fast.
The traffic police reported that 16 violations were found in the warning area and 17 violations, from a speed of 116 km/h, in the display area.
A Suzuki driver from Schongau was the sad leader with a measured speed of 174 km/h, it goes on to say.
The driver now has to expect a hefty fine of at least 700 euros, two points in Flensburg and a three-month driving ban.
Traffic police warn: “Driving too fast is still one of the main causes of accidents”
Also much too fast - in "second place" - was a BMW driver from Weilheim, who, according to the police, was clocked at 147 km/h.
In connection with the measurements, the Weilheim traffic police once again point out that “driving too fast is still one of the main causes of accidents.
Accidents involving excessive speed often have serious consequences.”
