Donald Trump triumphed on Super Tuesday in the USA.
Now the Republican presidential candidate commented on the war in the Middle East.
He won't be specific.
Palm Beach – Former US President Donald Trump clearly won on “Super Tuesday” over his only remaining party rival Nikki Haley, who then threw in the towel.
In the race for the presidency in the USA, the duel between Donald Trump and Joe Biden is likely to be repeated.
Now the Republican commented for the first time on his future policy for the Middle East.
Israel must “bring the problem to an end,” said the 77-year-old on Tuesday in Florida – and remained vague.
Donald Trump on Israel strategy: “Finish the problem”
When asked about the war in the Middle East, Trump replied to the US broadcaster Fox News on Tuesday: “You have to finish the problem.” The Republican did not specify which specific measures he was referring to.
Trump failed to answer the question of whether he would support a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and evaded it.
“There was a terrible invasion that would never have happened if I had been president,” the 77-year-old added in the conversation.
A statement that cannot be verified in retrospect, but which the Republican had repeated several times in the past.
According to Trump's accusation, the incumbent US government has “become soft”.

During his presidency, Trump supported the right-wing, religious government under Benjamin Netanyahu.
Since the Israeli Prime Minister congratulated Joe Biden on his election, the relationship between Trump and Netanyahu has been considered cold.
At a campaign rally in Florida in October, Trump described Hezbollah in Lebanon, which is allied with the terrorist organization Hamas, as “very smart.”
The Ukraine war would not have happened with him as president, Trump said in an interview with
Fox News
on Tuesday.
According to the Republican, Russia “never attacked Ukraine” – that cannot be verified either.
Still, these statements could resonate with voters in the United States.
Especially given the domestic political problems of incumbent President Joe Biden.
Biden's Israel policy: These problems of the US President play into Trump's hands
The Biden government is calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and recently clearly criticized the Israeli government.
At the same time, Washington also supplies weapons to Israel.
The left wing of the Democrats in the USA is struggling with support for Israel in the Gaza war.
This was most recently seen, among other things, in the Democratic primary in Michigan - a US state that is important for the outcome of the presidency.
In protest against US Middle East policy, around 100,000 voters checked “uncommited” (in German: “neutral”), which corresponds to a blank ballot paper.
The result is a “loud and clear message” to Biden for a “permanent ceasefire” in the Gaza war, said Layla Elabed, one of the leaders of the protest campaign.

Joe Biden could lose the Muslim votes in the USA if a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip fails.
Another point of criticism of the Democrat is his old age: at 81, he is already the oldest US president of all time.
Most recently, he had caused discussions about his memory due to slips of the tongue.
In a recently announced ruling by special investigator Robert Hur on the documents affair, it was said that Biden was a “well-meaning, older gentleman with a bad memory.” There are also doubts about the mental suitability of Trump, who is only four years younger than him, but these are less dominant in public discussion than its competitor.
But the Republican has numerous legal problems that could thwart his plans.
