The rioters notably attacked a municipal police car.

The police had to fire tear gas and de-encirclement grenades in order to disperse the groups.

Their colleagues specializing in law enforcement were deployed on site as reinforcements.

These clashes come more than a week after a right of withdrawal, exercised by almost half of the 300 teachers of this establishment with nearly 2,500 students.

They complained in particular about working conditions due to certain premises considered unsanitary.

Apparently, the scuffles have no direct link with the situation denounced by the staff.

The investigation into Tuesday's clashes, opened for "transport and detention without legitimate reason of an explosive substance or product not subject to a particular regime and allowing the destruction or damage of property of others" as specified by the prosecution, and entrusted to the Kremlin-Bicêtre police station, continues.

Of the two suspects arrested on Tuesday, "as it stands, there is no notion of a hood or gloves found on them", underlines the Val-de-Marne prosecutor's office.

As for the minor arrested on Tuesday, his custody was extended this Wednesday.
