The day after the violent clashes which shook Cachan and its high school, the day was calm, avenue du Président-Wilson, this Wednesday.
“The classes took place without incident,” confirms the Créteil rectorate.
To avoid further clashes, police patrols have been reinforced.
During their checks early in the morning, two minors were arrested.
“The first of them was carrying a bottle of acetone and six firecrackers in his backpack and, for the second, a bottle of deodorant,” indicates the Créteil prosecutor’s office.

The day before, dozens of thugs had gathered and tried to block the establishment by setting fire to trash cans in different places around the high school and then setting up barricades on the road.
“There were not that many,” minimizes the rectorate, who asked the students present near the gates to take refuge inside.
There were nearly 300 of them returning.

The rioters notably attacked a municipal police car.
The police had to fire tear gas and de-encirclement grenades in order to disperse the groups.
Their colleagues specializing in law enforcement were deployed on site as reinforcements.
Two police officers were quite seriously injured, one suffering in particular from a broken arm, caused by the throwing of a paving stone.
These clashes come more than a week after a right of withdrawal, exercised by almost half of the 300 teachers of this establishment with nearly 2,500 students.
They complained in particular about working conditions due to certain premises considered unsanitary.
Apparently, the scuffles have no direct link with the situation denounced by the staff.
The investigation into Tuesday's clashes, opened for "transport and detention without legitimate reason of an explosive substance or product not subject to a particular regime and allowing the destruction or damage of property of others" as specified by the prosecution, and entrusted to the Kremlin-Bicêtre police station, continues.
Of the two suspects arrested on Tuesday, "as it stands, there is no notion of a hood or gloves found on them", underlines the Val-de-Marne prosecutor's office.
As for the minor arrested on Tuesday, his custody was extended this Wednesday.
