There was almost a crash on the B472 near Wackersberg: a man from Tölzer tried to illegally overtake a turning truck in his Jeep, but was unable to do so.

Wackersberg - A 29-year-old from Tölz drove his jeep on the B472 towards Bad Tölz shortly after 4 p.m. yesterday, Tuesday (March 5th).

According to the police, a truck driven by a 36-year-old Bichler was in front of the Tölzer at the time.

A risky overtaking maneuver at the Stallauer Weiher near Wackersberg ends in the meadow for a Tölzer in a jeep

At the level of the Stallauer Weiher, the truck driver wanted to turn right into an access road.

“However, due to the narrow access and the length of his vehicle, he had to swing to the left in order to be able to turn in one go,” reports Police Chief Inspector Lars Werner.

The Jeep driver took advantage of this moment “to drive past the truck on the right in violation of the law, but he was unable to do so,” continued Werner.

Therefore, the Tölzer had to turn right into the meadow there and damaged his vehicle when driving over a concrete water ditch.

“No one was injured during the extremely risky driving maneuver,” said the police, who estimated the damage to the Jeep at around 1,500 euros.
