Wetness and slush: The wintry weather caused several accidents on the A95 on Wednesday morning.

This included a brazen hit-and-run near Iffeldorf.

Iffeldorf - Due to poor weather conditions with wet conditions and slush in places, there were several accidents on the A95 motorway over the course of Wednesday morning (March 6th).

These occurred in both directions between the Penzberg/Iffeldorf and Wolfratshausen junctions.

The officers from the Weilheim traffic police station were on duty with several patrols.

The driver of the accident fled on Wednesday on the A95 near Iffeldorf after his accident - but he left his license plate behind

The law enforcement officers were particularly concerned about an accident escape near Iffeldorf.

A license plate they found helped them.

At around 8:30 a.m., the police were informed that shortly after the Penzberg/Iffeldorf motorway entrance to the north, several fields of the protective barrier were damaged.

The traffic police officers determined that the person who caused the accident, who had apparently veered off the road to the right, had caused property damage amounting to around 1,000 euros - and then left the scene of the accident.

“The driver obviously did not notice that he had lost his license plate due to the impact at the scene of the accident,” the inspection said.

Driver now expects a message

The initial investigation revealed that the 71-year-old driver from the southern Weilheim-Schongau district caused the accident with his Suzuki around 5:30 a.m. while driving to work.

“And did not find it necessary to inform the police about the accident and the damage it caused,” according to the traffic police.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident, who according to the police had a Weilheim registration, is now expected to be charged with leaving the scene of the accident without permission.

The damage to his car is still being determined.

Thrown into the guardrail

An hour earlier, around 7 a.m., there had been an accident shortly before the Seeshaupt exit, in the municipality of Eurasburg.

A 26-year-old woman from Munich was driving her Mini with a Munich registration south on the motorway.

According to police, the woman's car skidded and collided with the guardrail.

The driver was taken to hospital as a precaution and there was a total property damage of around 5,000 euros.

The motorway, which was closed for a short time, was cleaned by emergency services from the Beuerberg fire department.

Warning beacon rammed

And finally, around 9:30 a.m., there was a minor accident on the A95.

According to police, a 76-year-old man from Eurasian overlooked a warning beacon while driving north from the Wolfratshausen junction.

This was placed there due to the existing construction site.

The Eurasburger collided with the beacon.

There was damage of around 1000 euros to his Nissan with Tölzer registration and around 200 euros to the beacon.

The driver was warned and was then able to continue his journey.
