Spring is slowly but surely arriving in Germany.
Pleasant temperatures and hours of sunshine are increasing.
But what is the weather like at Easter?

presenter Kathy Schrey pointed to mild air currents that could at least partially influence Easter Sunday.
She refers to a weather map and speaks of so-called 0, 6, 12 and 18 runs.
When asked, weather expert Dominik Jung explains that this refers to specific points in time: “Weather models such as the US model or the European model calculate the latest forecasts four times a day.

She concludes: “So at the moment we are 50:50 as far as the forecast is concerned, as far as spring weather and then winter weather again at Easter.”

The reason is quite simple: “No weather model currently lasts until March 31st.” The colleague from wetter.net was apparently looking at “an estimate based on the current weather trend,” he said.

However, Jung expects mild temperatures for Easter – “ten to 15 degrees”, “maybe sunshine now and then”.

Similar to Jung, the German Weather Service (DWD) also points out on its website that there is still the possibility of ground and air frost at night.
