On March 3rd, TV Germany was once again spoiled for choice: “Tatort” or “Who steals the show from me?” Who was ahead in the ratings duel?

Kiel – While Klaus Borowski and his “Tatort” team solved their latest murder case on ARD, Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (40) and Lena Meyer-Landrut (32) tried to steal the show from Joko Winterscheidt (45).

The television program couldn't have been more contrasting, but the TV viewers had a clear favorite.

“Tatort” vs. “Who steals the show from me”: ARD crime thriller impresses with the overall audience

“Who steals the show from me?” is actually one of ProSieben’s big TV hits.

With funny challenges, top-class guests and lots of humor, fan favorite Joko Winterscheidt has regularly attracted millions of viewers to their screens in the past.

But on Sunday (March 3, 2024) the competition was simply too great.

Because as DWDL reports, the new episode of “Who steals my show?” doesn’t even appear in the list of the 25 most-watched programs.

“Crime Scene: Borowski and the Revenant,” on the other hand, can look forward to winning ratings among the overall audience (ages three and up).

The latest film from the ARD classic attracted 8.5 million crime fans to their TV screens.

For ARD, this means a total market share of 27.8 percent.

What number of viewers set the record in Germany?

On July 13, 2014, ARD made television history: According to estimates, a whopping 34.65 million people watched the World Cup final between Germany and Argentina (1-0 n.V.) on their own television sets.

Incorrect: People who followed the game during public viewing or in bars were not taken into account in this count.

The actual number is likely to be considerably higher.

Bitter ratings defeat: “Who steals my show” also has to admit defeat in the target group

The Kiel crime scene also scored points with the young audience (target group 14 to 49 year olds).

Here, 1.45 million people (market share of 19.6 percent) watched Chief Inspector Klaus Borowski during his investigations.

“Who will steal the show?”, on the other hand, was followed by only 1.24 million people (market share 20.7 percent).

“Tatort” is ahead both in terms of the overall audience and in the target group, which means a bitter ratings defeat for ProSieben and Joko Winterscheidt.

Speaking of which: In “Tatort: Borowski and the Revenant,” Greta Exner (Cordeliawege) turns out to be a clever murderer.

Some television viewers already know the actress from other productions.
