Most recently, “The Bachelors” achieved rather disappointing ratings.
How did the RTL dating show fare in a direct ratings duel against “TV Total”?
Cologne – At the beginning of the year, RTL sent the dating show “The Bachelor” back to the start with a new concept.
In the 14th season, two bachelors are looking for true love.
The motto “Twice is better” has so far only worked to a limited extent: TV ratings have been rather poor recently.

“TV Total” with Sebastian Pufpaff (47) attracted 0.63 million young viewers, resulting in a market share of 11.5 percent.

A total of 1.28 million people watched the comedy show created by Stefan Raab (57).
The ProSieben format was better received than “The Bachelors” by both the advertising-relevant target group and the overall audience – even if only by a small margin.
Nevertheless, the Unterföhringer station was probably delighted with the ratings success.

Despite weak ratings, the private broadcaster seems to be convinced of their new dating show concept.
However, it is still unclear whether RTL will produce further seasons of “The Bachelors” in the future.
