While the threat of a social movement during the Paris Olympic Games has been looming for months, the general secretary of the CGT, Sophie Binet, again gave credence to the scenario this Thursday.
The trade union organization will file strike notices at the beginning of April in the three public functions (state, territorial and hospital), valid from July 26 to August 11, i.e. the entire period of the Olympic Games.
An announcement which further undermines the predictions of Transport Minister Patrice Vergriete, who affirmed on February 28 that “
there will be no strike
” during the Olympics.
