SEK storms student dormitory in Berlin – students surprised

The arrest of RAF terrorist Daniela Klette caused quite a stir.

Klette went into hiding over 30 years ago with her accomplices at the time, Burkhard Garweg and Ernst-Volker Staub.

The now 65-year-old was arrested on February 26, 2024 in her apartment in Kreuzberg, where she is said to have lived for 20 years.

The search for Garweg and dust continues, which is why the police are conducting more and more house searches.

On Tuesday (March 5th), the police stormed a Berlin student dorm during an operation.

Many of the residents didn't notice much about it.

When asked about it on Tuesday morning, many said they knew nothing about it.

They were asleep and didn't hear or see anything.

Photos show how heavily armed police officers from a special operations team stormed one of the apartments in the dormitory on the street of the Paris Commune.

“Indications of an object” – police storm the student residence

As a spokeswoman for the responsible State Criminal Police Office (LKA) said, there was evidence of an object that justified the house search.

The police found two people in the apartment, whose identities were established.

In addition, a trailer site and an apartment on Grünberger Strasse, where Burkhard Garweg is said to have once lived, were searched.

There was no trace of the fugitive there; Garweg was “really on the run,” as a spokesman for the Verden public prosecutor’s office said.

The people found in the student apartment that was searched were not arrested.

By the following day, the dormitory was back to normal and there was no sign of the police action from the outside.

A neighbor in the dorm spoke about the action he claims to have witnessed: “We heard a man banging really hard on the door.

The police were in the hallway with machine guns.

She told us to stay in the apartment,” he told
