Behind the series of Parisian barge fires, one and the same author?
Initially prosecuted for having set fire to the boat the Petrus III on January 27 in the port of Arsenal (Paris 4th-12th century), Ibrahim Z. is now suspected by the courts of being the arsonist of the Café Barge on the 22nd. January, we learned this Thursday during the immediate appearance hearing where he was to be tried for all of these facts.
He is also suspected of a first attempt targeting the Petrus III the same day.
Aged 22, the young man was presented for the first time before the Paris court on February 1.
Two days earlier, he was arrested by police after his DNA was found on a stone used to break the window of the Petrus III on the night of January 26-27.
While a first fire had broken out within this boat popular with stars a few days earlier without causing any damage, this time, the interior of the boat had been heavily damaged by the flames.
