In a nightclub near Épernay, Le Gavroche, the Lilloise and two friends, also regulars in the nightlife world, are organizing, this Friday, March 8, a tribute evening to DJ Mazeltof, who died tragically in a car accident, in the 'Dawn, October 26, 2023.
Sébastien Kowalski was 41 years old, had two daughters and had made his place in the small world of techno.
“He has done numerous DJ residencies in nightclubs in the northern half of France.
He was also a pillar in the organization of travel groups for festivals in Belgium and the Netherlands.
He united a lot of people around hard dance,” explains his friend, a fan of this fast-tempo style of techno that emerged at the end of the 1990s.
Money raised during the evening for his family
Born in Pas-de-Calais, Sébastien Kowalski lived for a long time in Épernay, then more recently in Mailly-le-Camp, south of Châlons.
If Tiffany Chollier and her friends chose Le Gavroche for this tribute evening, it is because the Chavot-Courcourt club is loaded with strong symbolism.
“We met there, in 2005, when the nightclub was called L'Enigma, but it was especially there that he met the mother of his daughters.
We wanted to say goodbye to him properly and not leave his children like that.
The money raised during the evening will be donated to them.

This initiative moved one of the guests, the Italian DJ Tatanka, renowned producer and disc jockey of the European hardstyle scene.
Contacted by Sébastien's friends, he will perform at Gavroche, among the ten guests announced.
“He was Sébastien’s favorite artist,” says Tiffany Chollier.
He systematically played one of his songs in each of his sets.
