She shaped the Wolfratshausen District Court and gave it a face: Director Adelinde Gessert-Pohle has retired.

Wolfratshausen – The long-time director of the Wolfratshausen District Court, Adelinde Gessert-Pohle, has retired.

Due to the ban on reappointments, the position is currently vacant, but is expected to be filled again on May 1st of this year, reports Rosemarie Mamisch, spokeswoman for the district court, in a press release.

Studied in Munich and Geneva, Switzerland

Gessert-Pohle, born in Baden-Württemberg, completed her studies in Munich and Geneva, Switzerland, and completed her traineeship in Munich, Landshut and Geneva.

In 1988 she began working in the judiciary at the Munich I public prosecutor's office. Since October 1997 - for over 26 years - she has worked at the Wolfratshausen district court.

Gessert-Pohle was initially a judge and was promoted to deputy director and ultimately director in 2013.

“With her consistency, her commitment and her values, she shaped the court and gave it a face,” sums up Mamisch.

Gessert-Pohle was instrumental in installing the central on-call service at the district court.

Since 2018, the Wolfratshausen authority has been the on-call court for the Munich II regional court district. “It decides on all custodial measures that take place outside normal business hours in the area of the district court districts of Dachau, Ebersberg, Miesbach, Wolfratshausen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Starnberg, Weilheim and Fürstenfeldbruck.” , explains Mamisch.

The Wolfratshauser was only the second district court in the Free State of Bavaria where the district judge's on-call service was concentrated.

According to the press spokesperson, the director was committed to “entrusting this task to the Wolfratshausen district court, organized the process and actively participated in the weekend and public holiday services for years.”

Term of office characterized by Corona and digitalization

Gessert-Pohle's term as director “was primarily characterized by crisis management during the Corona period and digitalization,” says Mamisch.

“It introduced shift work during the first lockdown and made it possible to work from home to an above-average extent.” At the height of the corona pandemic, according to Mamisch, 61 percent of the district court’s employees worked from home.

“The Wolfratshausen district court was in first place in Bavaria.”

During Gessert-Pohle's term of office, electronic legal transactions were also made mandatory for professionals and authorities.

Since then, lawyers, clinics, the police and authorities have had to submit all applications in electronic form.

Since autumn last year, electronic files have also been kept in the office on Bahnhofstrasse: “They are now available in civil and family matters as well as in real estate enforcement.”

The employees are very grateful to Ms. Gessert-Pohle for her excellent management of the court over many years.
