The truck hit the guard rail.

The driver of a truck was injured in an accident at an exit on the A99 near Germering.
A guard rail was completely demolished and a diesel tank was torn open.
Germering - The 55-year-old driver of the truck broke through the guardrail of the exit and entry lane at the Germering exit on Wednesday (March 6th) at 6:45 p.m., as the Munich fire department reports.
There was almost a collision with an oncoming vehicle.
According to the fire brigade, the truck then crashed into a tunnel monitoring power and switch box and damaged it.
The truck's diesel tank was also damaged.
Tank pumped out
The crew of an ambulance took care of the driver and, after initial medical treatment, took him to a Munich clinic.
The fire brigade's emergency services collected the leaking diesel in a pan and then pumped out around 400 liters from the tank.
The firefighters used a reciprocating saw to cut through the demolished guardrail and clear it from the road.
Since diesel also got into the ground, other specialist services were informed and the area was covered with a tarpaulin, reports the professional fire department.
Block handling in the Aubing tunnel
The entrance and exit to Germering was completely closed during the rescue and clean-up work.
Due to the damage to the switch box for tunnel monitoring, there was a blockage in the Aubing tunnel and obstructions to road traffic.
According to an initial estimate by the police, the property damage amounts to 100,000 euros.
85,000 euros of this goes to the guardrail.
The exit is currently closed because repair work is underway (as of Thursday morning).
According to police, the cause of the accident is still unclear.
