One of the largest charging stations in the district has now gone into operation in the Erding-West industrial area.
The car is full in just over half an hour.
Erding – One of the largest charging stations in Erdinger Land can now be found in West Erding Park.
It is also considered the most powerful.
Five fast charging stations with a total of ten connections have recently been connected to the network on the premises of the Lipp brand sales and the Feneberg supermarket.
Similar dimensions can be found in the parking garage at Therme Erding
In Erding West, ten vehicles with an output of 150 kilowatts or five with 300 kilowatts each can be charged at the same time.
All it takes is 30 to 40 minutes of shopping and the Stromer is full.
The parking spaces were provided by Dirk Urland and Jürgen Loher, owners and managing directors of Lipp Markenvertriebs, a food logistics company.
The charging stations were installed by the company CityWatt from near Passau.
“The planning began about a year and a half ago,” remembers Loher.
CityWatt, their representative Franz Rodler reports, had to build a transformer house specifically.
The Erding municipal utilities then provided the power supply.
“All in all, this was an investment worth millions,” says Rodler.
CityWatt usually tries to sell such e-charging stations to an investor.
“The one in Erding remains our property for the time being,” he reports.
Company spokeswoman Sarah Mühlbauer said that CityWatt belongs to the Praml Group, which is represented at six locations in Germany and Austria with more than 400 employees.
“So far we have implemented over 500 e-mobility projects,” says Mühlbauer.
CityWatt currently operates more than 40 charging parks in Germany.
However, the electricity for this is not provided by the Erding public utility company, but rather by EVH GmbH, the energy subsidiary of the Halle public utility company, according to Rodler.
The petrol pumps in Erding West can be used with all common card systems - and thus attract customers who are already heading to the Erding West commercial area.
One of the first customers was Erding's Mayor Max Gotz, whose company car, an Audi Q5, is purely electric.
“The requirement was that we could reach every place in Bavaria without stopping,” reports Gotz – “so far we have succeeded, even when the car was full.”
In Erding, the network of charging options is becoming increasingly dense.
The largest providers are the district, the municipal utilities and Sempt EW.
But more and more private providers are also joining in.
Contact points include secondary schools and the district office.
The infrastructure at the thermal baths will soon be further expanded.
