For a video shoot as part of the current GNTM season, chief judge Heidi Klum came up with a special challenge for her male models.
Berlin - In the 19th season of "Germany's Next Top Model" Heidi Klum came up with a completely new concept - for the first time men are allowed to take part in the popular casting show and the number of male participants is high.
In the third episode (February 29th), the male models were able to prove themselves on the catwalk - but not every fan liked the way they walked down the catwalk.

The mixed season is a failure among GNTM viewers – they want the girls-only rule back.
There are many points of criticism, but one aspect dominated after the third episode was broadcast - namely, eager ProSieben viewers on the
X
platform (formerly Twitter) criticized the fact that, in their eyes, men were clearly preferred.
“Germany's Next Top Model” fans think it's unfair that the male models were allowed to strut down the catwalk in sandals while Heidi Klum's women apparently had problems with their high heels.

Apparently the production company had a similar view during filming, because in the fourth episode (March 7, 2024) the GNTM men also have to present themselves in high heels while filming the campaign video.
“No, I didn’t wear high heels yet.
This will be my first time now.
“I’m very excited,” says “Germany’s Next Top Model” participant Linus (25) as he laces up his high heels.
After the footwear is secure, he has to be helped to his feet by another contestant and a production member.
“In the beginning it was very new.
But somehow also a really cool experience [...].
“I think otherwise I wouldn’t have done it at all in my life,” adds the 25-year-old.
Scandal even before the GNTM broadcast
It was already announced in advance that there could be a lot of drama and tears on “Germany's Next Top Model” this year.
A former “Prince Charming” participant tried his luck on Heidi Klum’s casting show.
Before the broadcast, he already revealed that he had left GNTM and was tough on the show.

GNTM participants perceive the high heels experience differently
Max (20) seems to be more experienced in this regard.
“The shoes are definitely comfortable,” says the 20-year-old Berliner and then reveals that he has worn his mother’s shoes from time to time in the past.
For Jermaine (19), however, it is a rather painful experience.
“I understand why it hurts so much.
I think if you wear them for a long time it's really painful.
When I got out of there: I thought I broke my foot.
I thought, we can get a paramedic, I really need to be treated here now,” said the 19-year-old content creator from Kassel.

The guys seem to be doing very well during the video shoot.
However, not everything went smoothly at her first fashion show.
GNTM candidate Lucas (24) not only stumbled onto the stage, his pants also tore during his walk.
